Rock Bottom to Resilience: A Bond Formed

This photo of Mara and me, taken by a stranger over two years ago, captures a moment of joy amidst my lowest point in life. This is the time in my life when I realized that rock bottom had a basement. While Mara was my sole companion, the love of those close to me was felt from a distance. I was difficult to love at this time, and unfortunately, I didn't realize what was wrong with me until it was behind me. Though it’s difficult to revisit this chapter, it ultimately became the inspiration for "Mara by the Waves," highlighting the unwavering bond I shared with Mara during a time when I desperately needed her loyal support.
